OLPC Points the Way to New Computer Designs

The proposed design for the new One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) is gorgeous! Watch it be imitated immediately, as thin and light is in. Netbook computers looked like miniature laptops, but being underpowered, they were mostly a disappointment. But they proved that there was a market for thin, light and powerful. The OLPC breaks the mold for design and sets out in a different direction. It’s too bad it won’t be out until 2012. (GW)
