The competition for great talent is heating up. Harvard Business School’s Sylvia Ann Hewlett describes what three companies are doing to retain their top talent.
- Cisco: Cisco is expanded the vision of its top talent by pairing these individuals up with “executive advocates” in “different geographies and functions and, often, of a different ethnicity and gender.”
- Citi: Aware that 90 per cent of Boomers and Generation Ys place a premium on flexible work hours, Citi now provides its employees with the ability to rotate the days in which they come to the office.
- Intel: Too many of Intel’s female technologists were leaving the company. To address the problem, Intel is providing workshops to women to help them “better identify, request and secure more fulfilling work assignments.” (RN)
