IBM’s 3-D Model of Data Flow in Second Life

by Tom Werner on November 30, 2009

Kristine J. Berry and her team at IBM built a gigantic virtual model of an IBM® System Storage® SAN Volume Controller (SVC) in Second Life so that learners could understand its data flow by literally walking through the data-flow pathways.

A great example of using a virtual world so that learners can see and experience something in 3-D.

Here’s the SLurl. (The model itself is 70m up in the sky.)
