Companies Starting to Let Employees Pick Their Own Technology

by Tom Werner on November 18, 2009

A fun and interesting Wall Street Journal article about:

  1. How people typically now have better technology at home than they have at work.
  2. And how some companies are letting people select their own technology.

A big driver seems to be younger employees, who are turning up their noses at clunky cell phones and computers.

The author also mentions how two non-company-approved programs — Gmail and Xobni — help him hugely. (TW)
