The headline for an article in the Telegraph says being ‘lucky’ is an easy skill to learn. Richard Wiseman, a psychologist and author of the book The Luck Factor, wrote the article. and created a “luck school” experiment to examine whether people’s luck can be enhanced by getting them to think and behave like a lucky person.
He lists three techniques to help maximise good fortune:
Unlucky people often fail to follow their intuition when making a choice, whereas lucky people tend to respect hunches. Unlucky people tend to be creatures of routine. Lucky people tend to see the positive side of their ill fortune.
If your luck needs changing, maybe you should evaluate your own behavior. Are you the lucky type? (JC)
