Progressive People Practices and Profits

Is there a link between progressive people practices and economic benefits for a company? Winning Workplaces has posted a listing of a lot of research studies that support this idea. Similarly, a monograph by Richard Wellins published by DDI reviews research on the competitive advantage of ”employee engagement“.  The section called “Building the Business Case” cites seven studies that support the positive relationship between business success and treating employees well.
