Investing in social media

by Janet Clarey on October 1, 2008

Shel Holtz reviews a study by Aberdeen Group on Web 2.0, Talent Mangement, and Employee Engagement sounding the horn yet again on the value of social media for employees. Seems a focus on resolving the ‘excuses’ around implementation that Shel highlights – bandwidth, storage limitations, fear of diminished worker productivity, and (I’d add) security is what is needed to reap the benefits of social media for learning. Short message to organizations: it (social media) works, now do something about it. (JC)
