Interpreting science visually

by Janet Clarey on March 26, 2009

Via Judy Breck a video of Drew Berry’s animation work (he’s a biomedical animator) visualizing science papers and data. What I find interesting here is the increased audience reach. How many people do educators lose to static illustrations and text? Check out Drew Berry’s work and the work of other “interpreters” Robert Lue (Harvard University), Tuajanda Jordan (Howard Hughes Medical Institute), Moshe Pritsker (Journal of Visualized Experiments), and Jo Handelsman (University of Wisconsin) in the area of visualization on SeedMagazine’s Revolutionary Minds series.
