Robert Scoble has a discussion and a video of new business analytics software from Panorama that he feels will be a real threat to Microsoft’s place in the business intelligence market. Essentially, this free software analyzes trends and other data embedded in Google Docs and can be used for managing an enterprise or just for tracking and visualizing one’s personal performance. It’s a good example of how disruptive technologies get born behind the scenes, gather momentum, and then burst out into public awareness in such away that they become an unstoppable threat. (GW)
