Internet telepresence

Jay Cross comically notes the obvious lack of pheromone transfer when communicating online while he explores Cisco’s Telepresence with Cisco WebEx’s Bob Lee. He describes walking into a room where half the circular table is real and half is a live feed from a similar room anywhere else in the world. This has great potential for making online learning as good as being there. (but without the ugly reality of face-to-face – like an instructor with bad breath or something). (JC)
