The Five Most Advanced Search Engines

by Richard Nantel on June 23, 2010

Makeuseof.com shares their picks for the most advanced search engines on the Web:

  • Best for general search: Google
  • Best for reverse image search, where the search engine can actually read the content of an image: TinEye
  • Best for similar image search, which returns images with matching features such as color, texture, etc.: GazoPa
  • Best to search for content normally invisible on the Web: CompletePlanet
  • Best for semantic search: DuckDuckGo

Note to self: THIS is the week I stop using Google for all searches. (RN)
