Social network search engines restrict their searches only to social networks. So, you won’t have to wade through the thousands of results often generated by conventional search engines such as Google or Bing.

Of what use are these social search engines in learning or talent management? Well, let’s say you’re considering a candidate to fill a position. Some of these tools could provide, in a single search, links to many different networks where the individual has profile. This search may also provide information about the individual’s social connections, how respected and popular he or she is as a blogger, etc.
