I am reading alot on videoconferencing and telepresence. Telepresence is the sense of being present in a location without actually being there. One way of achieving this is to send a robot to stand in for you, while you are in a different place. A company called Anybots has developed a line of robots that are designed to attend meetings, give information on your behalf, and send information back to you. An interesting article on the development of telepresence robots has been written by Keith Kleiner at Singularity Hub, and includes an interview with one of the robots.
