Asking
the Right Questions
Asking the right questions to vendors is an important part
of the selection process, especially when creating an RFP
requesting a bid for a learning technology and services. Unfortunately,
vendors sometimes skirt the issues or miss the point completely
when responding to RFIs.
Brandon Hall Research has been writing questionnaires to
collect consistent RFI data from literally hundreds of e-learning
solution providers. In fact, many of our questionnaire items
regularly appear in RFPs and RFIs. We have extensive experience
writing questions that quickly differentiate among systems,
rather than collecting general information only.
This service is designed to customize the RFI to identify
the feature and functionalities that are most critical to
your needs and can greatly assist in quantifying the results
during the proposal review process. We can also make sure
that you’ve included everything you need to know about
the product or service (and sometimes even the vendor) to
make that critical – often expensive – decision.
The RFI Tool can be used in isolation to collect information
from an array of e-learning technology vendors simultaneously,
or it can be included inside your RFP as part of the bid process.
