Some organizations make the mistake of starting the selection process by listing (and prioritizing) tool features and functionality, only to discover that the process quickly spins out of control.

We have developed a time-tested, systematic approach for quickly moving through the selection process while ensuring that the appropriate stake-holder voices are heard, that there is consensus on the team, that the team quickly rules out technologies that won’t work for the project, and that there is good documentation along the way explaining how the technology was selected. We can minimize the hours that would be spent researching dozens (if not hundreds) of e-learning technologies.

The Full-Service Technology Service combines the steps used in several of our itemized services to streamline the process. It includes the following steps:

  • Short List the technologies that match your needs (and identify those that won’t work for you)

  • Develop “Use Cases” to focus vendor demos and responses on your needs

  • Create an RFP to send to Short List candidates (including a full RFI and Evaluation Worksheet)

  • Evaluate up to six (6) proposals and recommend a final solution


Note: The total cost of purchasing each of these service packages separately would be $32,980 (this package represents a savings of $2,985).

  • Critical/Differentiating Needs Document

  • Short List Recommendation Report (Short List recommendations and graded Comparative Matrix showing which technologies come closest to meeting your needs)

  • Use Case/Evaluation Tool (demonstration/evaluation script for demonstrations) and Evaluation Form

  • Training and advice on how to use the Use Case/Evaluation Tool during product demonstrations

  • A completed Request For Proposal (RFP), including project definition, vendor pre-qualification list (critical needs), Request For Information (RFI) and Cost Analysis Worksheet

  • Proposal Grading and Evaluation
  • Worksheet with judging criteria and grading criteria for judging the proposals
  • Brandon Hall Research review of up to six (6) proposals

  • Tallied results for proposal review

  • Debrief/Discussion Meetings at the completion of each phase of the selection process

  • Final Recommendation Report on which technologies to pursue
  • On-Site Product Reviews and Evaluation: Brandon Hall Research staff serves as a representative of your company during face-to-face meetings with vendors (optional service that can be purchased separately)
