Excellence in Learning Awards: 2006 Categories
 
  • In the Brandon Hall Learning Awards, independent volunteer judges evaluate submitted entries against defined criteria.

  • Entries are submitted online in six categories and are reviewed by four independent, randomly assigned judges

  • The judges rate the entries on specific criteria and add written comments.

  • All entrants receive the judges’ comments as feedback.

  • Medal winners are selected in each category based on the judges’ scores.

  • Winners receive one plaque per entering organization as well as an electronic medal logo for web and print publishing.

  • The entry fee is the only fee involved in the Awards. Winners pay no additional fees.

Innovative feature or functionality in any tool or system, such as an LMS, LCMS, authoring tool, live e-learning tool, etc. (or innovative tool if the whole tool is new) Link to a recorded demo describing and demonstrating the innovative feature or functionality. Anyone
Best Results of a Learning Program Description of a successful learning program, course, project, initiative, or implementation, based on its results Link to a written description of a successful learning initiative Anyone, but one of the entrants must be a user. (Joint entries allowed.)
Best Blended Learning Program Description of the use of blended learning in a learning program Link to a written description of a blended learning program Anyone, but one of the entrants must be a user. (Joint entries allowed.)
Best Use of Emerging Technology Description of the use of an innovative element, environment, or experience for learning (such as wiki, blogging, virtual environment, etc.) Link to a written description of an innovative approach Anyone, but one of the entrants must be a user. (Joint entries allowed.)
Best Learning Team Description of the accomplishments of a team of learning professionals.

(May be a team solely of internal learning professionals at a user organization, or a user team that includes outside consultants, providers, or vendors.)
